No informative post today, just this little tidbit:
Remember the mysterious case of the extra money? Guess what’s still sitting in my chequing account? That’s right. We’ve called the internet company countless times. Turns out that when they entered the void cheque information, they got some of the numbers wrong, so the payment showed processed on their end, but we never had any money taken out of our account.
At least three weeks ago they assured us they would fix this problem. We’re still getting bills like clockwork, we’re still depositing the money on time, but no money is coming out of that account. There’s over $300 in “internet money” as we’ve come to call it, sitting in there. It’s great to have such a nice buffer, but seriously! We’re trying to pay them.
If we weren’t such honest people/I wasn’t so paranoid about protecting my credit, we’d just laugh to ourselves and say ‘hey, free internet!’ Ah to be unscrupulous.
