Our closest walking trail is a little obstructed!
Check out my new post over at Making Sense of Cents about Christmas and it’s cost.
In case you missed my numerous tweets and instagram photos over the last few days, it finally snowed here in a serious way. I’m really happy to see the snow, after all, it’s Christmas! It did, however, make me worry while I was at work and it was coming down, as well as when I was actually driving home – the roads were not good!
But I made it home safe and sound, and the roads, for the most part have been cleared to an acceptable level.
I also go a lovely bit of mail a few days ago! Earlier this month I signed up to participate in a personal finance secret santa hosted at Frugal Portland. Names were drawn and I was so excited when I got Michelle at Making Sense of Cents. After a few anonymous questions exchanged through the Elfster website I settled on a nice tea sample set from David’s Tea. I love loose leaf tea and I was excited to learn Michelle did too!
I was also pumped to receive my secret santa gift, and I was thrilled when I received a package in the mail from none other than my good blog friend Lauren from L Bee and the Money Tree. I still remember the very first blog post I read on Lauren’s blog. It had me in stitches and I was instantly hooked. I’ve barely missed one of her vlogs, essays or gifs since.
I’m very, very happy with the sparkly red LishySmithy head band Lauren got me! It’s lined with velcro on the inside as an anti-slip mechanism and it REALLY works! I’ll definitely be getting lots of use out of it during the holiday season and I can see it being perfect for working out. Most of my current head bands slide back after twenty minutes of running or so, but I can’t see this one moving.
Now on to my link love for the week, which, I admit, is going to be a little light because I’ve just started Christmas vacation and I really want to get to celebrating.
