Check out my post on minimalist home buying over at Making Sense of Cents today!
Happy Friday! I’m totally and completely pumped that it’s Friday. Well, actually, I’m more pumped that I get to sleep in tomorrow. What can I say? I like to sleep. I like being lazy in general, but you’d never know it based on all of the things I voluntarily add to my schedule. For example, between now and Sunday night, I have to run 17km. I’m actually looking forward to it, especially my long run, which went really well last weekend. This weekend I’m going to try some Gu, which should help me not hit the wall so hard in my long run. Just the name of that product sounds disgusting, but if it’ll help my performance, I’m all for it.
I’ve also won a six month Premier Membership from YogaDownload.com. I was really excited about this because a) I never win anything, and b) I’ve been meaning to get back into yoga as a way to stay flexible and stretched out during my half marathon training, so this couldn’t have come at a better time.
I got a chance to try it out last night when my fiance was out for his boy’s night, and let me just say, I’m out of practice. Every movement illuminated such how tight running has made my hips and legs, and poses that used to be easy caused me to shake and tremble to the point where I actually collapsed down onto my mat a time or two. I still enjoyed it though and I’ll definitely be doing it again, but maybe I’ll pick a beginner class next time. I’ll be writing a full review of the website I’ve had a chance to try out the interface more.
Blog Posts I Loved
This list isn’t really my top posts from the week. It’s more like top posts from the month since I’ve been so out of touch with my blog post reading lately.
Pauline from Reach Financial Independence provides a great guide on decluttering your digital life. I definitely want to do this sometime soon.
Miranda at Sustainable Personal Finance talks about the benefit of taking care of your finances first, before helping others.
Marissa at Thirty Six Months discusses why we always need to have bigger and better stuff.
Cait from Blonde on a Budget makes some big life changes.
Lauren from L Bee and the Money tree talks side hustles.
Bloggers Who Loved Me
Again, I haven’t been keeping great track of this, but here are some blogs who’ve mentioned My Alternate Life recently.
